Wayne, et al, Just for visual confirmation, here are two measurement pics of the TA 344 @ 114.5mm spindle, so you can unflinchingly add the option to your chart:

Someone else suggested that an Italian threaded spindle might be the 116.5, and English 114.5. Mine is not in use, so I can't comment.

Hmmm. I have a TA spindle/axle chart that clearly indicates #344 to be 116.5, and the only shorter spindle listed is the track version at 111.5, which is a #314. Two other road spindles are listed, #373 @ 120, and #374 @ 123.5. Also a tandem #375 @127 and a "mountain bike" #376 @133.5. Not sure my list is complete, but it's what I have so thought I share.
