Dmitri's recent post about what to do with his FM equipped Hetchins, besides making me drool uncontrollably across my keyboard, brings up a general thought I've been dwelling on lately after seeing another post on the I-BOB board from a list member that just bought an FW equipped Lenton: how unusual/rare ARE four speed Sturmey rear hubs these days?
I've been keeping an eye out in the usual places like e-bay, but I haven't seen anything besides a few internal parts pop up here and there. Are these hubs now moving into the "rare as hens teeth" category, or are they hiding in places I'm not looking. If anyone has a good place to look, I can go find prices, so I won't start a bidding war about "what's it worth", I'm just wondering if I'm looking under the wrong rocks.
