Subject: [CR]Jack Taylor Question Lugless Tour of Britain?

I'm hoping a Jack Taylor lover can help me out.

All the Tour of Britain Taylors on Joel Metz's Taylor site appear to be lugged. Was there another model with the same geometry that was bronze welded (AKA fillet brazed)?

The bike that fits me best is my Jack Taylor Lugged Tourist. I'd like to find something a little sportier. The Tour of Britain has the same geometry in the main triangle, but I'd prefer lugless if I get a 2nd Taylor.

I can lay down a pretty good fillet myself, but I have no idea how Norman could get them so smooth with just a torch. Once I asked if anyone on the framebuilder's list had ever mastered the technique. I only got a few replies from those who had tried and failed.
