The new owners of Wheelsmith also list 15/17 spokes on their website.  Th ey list most of the major US wholesalers as distributors, but I don't know how many actually stock their spokes or the 15/17 in particular.

Dmitry,

Back in the '90s, Ritchey collaborated with DT to make Logic spokes in that gauge and with very short butts like vintage spokes, but they are out of production. Google it; there might still be some out there.

They were superceded by DT Swiss' own longer-butted Revolution spokes in both 14/17 and 15/17ga. The 15/17ga. are still listed as available in DTs catalog. Not many distributors carry them, so they would be a special order .

I just checked, and BTI currently has 1 box of 298mm left.

Hi group,

Trying to build a suitable wheel for a 1947 British bike, I'm looking for 15/17 gauge spokes - but the best I could find is DT Revolution wich are 14/17g. Could anybody point me to an online source of 15/17g spokes? Do such spokes currently exist at all?

Failing that, would I be better off using 14/17 (such as DT Swiss Revolution) or 15/16 DT Competition? (One point in favor of 15/16 is the nipples' diameter which I assume would be smaller - regular nipples for 14g spokes fit too tightly into the holes in muy Constrictor rim, a looser fit would work better it seems.)
