Subject: [CR]Steel versus cabon bikes, an unexperienced observation

Greetings all this gorgeous Friday in Spokane Washington!

I have a simple request from a modest man that want to get his Jack Taylor 'Tour of Britain' that I'd had bespoke-built built in 1974 back on the road for me. My son a couple years back took it out for a ride, unbeknownst t o me, and managed to put a slam-dent in my rear rim. The unfortunate fact , is that the rims that I'd built my JT upon were a bit odd. They are the 36-h cannelured Fiamme Red Labels that were gold anodized. I'd built the o riginal set in 1974, and they have held fast and firm, up to this sad p oint. does anyone out there have one, or maybe two for sale? To repeat, a 700c, 36h, Fiamme Red Lable anodized gold? They are the ones that re qure no washers, and have the spoke seats swaged withing the rim. I'll lo ve to have something period, I just really hate to give up the feel of th e originals, you all here know what I mean. Carbo n fiber and radial spok e paterns aren't my gig. That is the 'raison de etre' of the board, in my view, to aid the :Stee l Steed Luddites' such as myself.

Thank you in advance, for your kind consideration.
