I mis-spoke ... the drilled steerer is definitely something Pino-like (there are others who can chime in more thoroughly about that), but the other parts I do not recall having seen before.

Hi Jordan, and welcome to the CR list!

The C55 Paramount track frame looks tantalizing with the modifications, in my humble opinion, but I have no clue who might have done it. The work on your bike does not look like Pino to me, but I haven't seen THAT much of his work to really know, and I wasn't there "in the day".

As for confirmed Pino, there IS a 1973 Paramount track frame here, serial number H73116, that Pino "adjusted" by installing little hollow rods laterally through the three main tubes, and drilling a relief hole in the b.b. underside. The paint is now very poor, and the work here is nothing like the extensive stuff that was done on your C55 frame. Here are pics of what is now referred to as the "Schwinn Pino-Mount" frameset:

Note that there are 3 pages of pics, and you need to get to the third page to see the b.b. hole. Click on a thumb to see a medium pic, then click on that to see the LARGER, CLEARER version.

Will be interested to hear who did the work on your frame, if you find out. Thanks...

First time posting: i am trying to gather some information about an interesting bike. It is a 1960 paramount track frame (S#: C55), with some unique drilling. A name that was put out there was Pino Morroni. I am trying to get some more info on who may have done the drilling. Here is the link to the pictures. http://gallery.me.com/jordanlorenz#100018 I would love to have any more information about it and please feel free to foward this to anyone that may have some insight. Thanks jordan Lorenz Tucson, AZ, USA
