Batavus will in my mind always be a bike you bought because that was the brand your local bikeshop carried. Worthy, but not something you got exited about.

Any more details about your bike? Frametubing? colorscheme? what bits are fitted now? Batavus did complete bikes (Shimano or Campy) and frames so anything goes

got a catalogue here with a champion 2000 fitted with exage, but names were recycled from year to year so yours could be a bit better ;) -- mvg
