Last summer, I finished building up my '80s Witcomb. I'm using Eagle II red
    brake pads on Mafac Racer center-pull brakes. The red compound stops gr eat in wet and dry conditions. The post has ridges on it, so it's not quite
   the same visually as the old Mafac brake blocks, but it fits fine. I see M afac half hooded brake levers on (French) e-bay, and I have a set of gum ho oded ones that came with set of tandem sized cantelever Mafacs, so this sty le may be "out there" as well.
   Delrin cable guides do tent to turn sort of grey...but they don't rust l ike the Huret ones I installed on the Woodrup! Doug Wagner Richmond,KY US
