Subject: [CR]Camp Record brake lever questions

Dear List,

is the following accurate? If not, please correct.

Campagnolo first generation Record brake levers, part number 2030 (with the round hole), were introduced in 1968 (Catalog 16) and produced until 1972.

In 1973 the geometry was subtly changed, and the levers got the u- shaped openings at the back, but the part number remained 2030. Also in 1973, the Super Record levers were introduced, which were identical except for the stamped holes in the levers.

In 1978 the Gran Sport levers were introduced, almost identical to (Nuovo) Record levers. The finish was poorer, there was no shield around "Campagnolo" on the lever, and the hoods were black. The "World" or "Globe" NR/SR gum hoods continued to be produced until 1982. In 1983 the shield hoods were introduced and made 'til 1987.

Did I get it right, or were the first generation levers changed BEFORE 1972/73?

Thanks
