So through the knowledge of Mick Butler, I have learned that the frame I thought was a Carlton:

is in fact, most likely a 1960s Colin Cape, possibly built by Stan Pike or Harry Green. (Giveaways: CC on the Bottom Bracket, wrapover seat stays)

Now here comes the fun part.

There is very little information available on Colin Cape on the web or in the archives. I know that the company was based in Swindon and that about six years ago, Tom Hayes made contact with Colin. And that might be about it. I can't even find a photo of a Colin Cape frame or transfer.

Any information anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. The mystery is pretty captivating.
