I disagree about the transition point from O-shaped cable holes to U-shaped cable holes. I have a 1974 Raleigh Pro with U-shaped levers and all PAT 73 parts. I have a 1974 Schwinn paramount with O-shaped levers and all PAT 73 parts. So I think that O-shaped levers were produced and installed for a time in 1973.

I also have an old-logo gransport brakeset where the levers have baby-blue world logo hoods. These are the only baby-blue world logo hoods in the universe, as far as I can tell. They are unfortunately dried and cracked, but still have 100% integrity.

The metallic levers say CAMPAGNOLO with the pentagonal border just like nuovo record. So there is another color of world-logo hoods that is very, very rare ...

Note also that there are also dark-brown (milk chocolate) hoods, and light-brown (gum) hoods. My 1974 paramount came with dark-brown (milk chocolate) hoods.
