Subject: [CR]Colnago Super Refinish

I recently acquired a Colnago Super that needs to be refinished, assuming the tubes look OK after paint and rust removal. I've posted some pics at http://www.flickr.com/photos/23112090@N00/sets/72157606529100161/. According to the seller, it's a '73, and in reading through the archives, I haven't found anything to contradict that date.

The only chrome is on the fork crown. I'd prefer not to re-chrome, but I also want to remain true to the original. Was the chromed fork crown part of the standard finish for this bike? Were there variations in terms of chroming?

Despite my preference to stay true to the original, I'm not particularly fond of the orange. What other colors were offered on the Super at that time?

Any insight is greatly appreciated!
