Subject: [CR]1973 Ron Cooper for Sale

Fellow List members:

I have for sale a 1973? Ron Cooper frame and fork. The year is what the original owner told me. ST 23" C-T, TT 22" C-C (this is an English bike, after all).

Metallic blue with lugs lined in gold and Ron Cooper decals. All Reynolds 531, of course.

Very good condition. However, a few points. There is some rusting on the top tube. There is also a small dent in the top tube (from an airport baggage handler) which I know is there, but I couldn't find it when I took the pictures. The paint has been touched up in various spots.

The biggest problem is that the paint is "sticky." It has evidently softened, and dirt sticks to it in places. Perhaps this could be easily remedied, I don't know, and I am not doing any tests. I make no representation about that.

The workmanship is, of course, amazing. Definitely in the class with Hurlow, Sachs and Confente. About as good as it gets.

Anyway, you can see for yourselves at http://photobucket.com/louisgate.

Price: $600 includes shipping in the lower 48. No export. Payment by PayPal preferred.

E-mail me with any comments, questions or whatever.
