Interesting. He says SanJUR, pronouncing the r on the end. So presumi ng Csuska's pronunciation is that used by the family in general, they use n either the English pronunciation, nor the French pronunciation, which would be SanJAY, since one does not pronounce an r on the end of a French word. I believe Alex Singer was a Hungarian Jew, so maybe that is the way the y pronounced the name when the family was in Hungary. I wonder if some o f the family is still in Hungary, or if they were all killed or driven out by the Nazi-allied WWII government there.
