Subject: [CR]BVVW: Oct 18 "Hustlin' n' Rustlin'" (An Autumn Ride on Long Island)

Ladies and Gentlemen! Boys and Girls! (and this being New York City...Every thing In Between!):

The BVVW group (a tangent of Gruppo Sportivo Pergolizzi) is comprised of a rag-tag gang of hardcore certified velo-freaks, who hangout, talk bike stuff and ride together every now and again...And it's about that time, y 'all!

So let's gather, pull on our long-sleeve woolies, fill our bottles with cider and listen to the autumn leaves rustling and crackling below our spi nning wheels!

I am pleased to announce a special group rendezvous/ride hosted by our very own Paul and Rita Lee!

WHEN:

Saturday, October 18th

WHAT:

I'll let our hosts do the talkin'...

"The Long Island contingent of the BVVW will be hosting a vintage ride on S aturday October 18th leaving from our house in Huntington. We'll have a pos t ride BBQ and hopefully have some fun hanging out.

The area has some very nice scenic routes with some hills. Jamie Swan and I have planned a couple of options. Let's hope for nice fall, wool jersey friendly weather.

We will plan to start out on the ride at 10:30. A LIRR train gets into Hun tington at 9:44 and the station is just over 2 miles away.

We have mapped out a tentative loop for the normal ride and can come up wit h a shorter/easier alternative loop if necessary.

We hope to see you on the 18th! Let us know if you can make it so we can pl an accordingly."

Still in the works for our next meeting is an upcoming talk by Eddie Albert about the history of framebuilding in NYC. We are still trying to secure a venue with the right audio/visual as well as space for some bikes. Date T BD.

The Kissena "vintage track day" is still a possibility for the fall, thou gh we are runnin' out of runway...Stay tuned!

Hope to see some of you at T-Town and even more of you the following Saturd ay!!
