Subject: [CR]Help needed with old logo Cinelli bar and stem

I recently bought an NOS old logo 1R stem and installed a set of old logo m odel 66 size 42 bars. When I tighten the bar clamp bolt, there is a fair ly large gap between the back side of the bar and the back side of the open ing in the stem when compared with the bikes I have with the same set up bu t with new logo equipment. This led me to measure the diameter of both the
old logo and new logo bars. The old logo measure 25.73mm and the new logo
measure 26.2mm. My old logo bars are anodized and have NOT been sanded or
polished causing the diameter to shrink. Has anyone else noticed this iss ue? Was this intentional or a manufacturing mistake? Will it compromise t he stem's ability to securely hold the bars? Should I look for another set
of old logo bars that will hopefully be a true 26.2mm?Manfred HegwerLincol nshire, IL _________________________________________________________________ Stay up to date on your PC, the Web, and your mobile phone with Windows
