Dear Mikael,

it would be easier to identify the dropouts if you included a shot of

the right dropout with hanger. I thought they were Campagnolo 1010B's,

but mine look slightly different. The headset appears to be a normal steel Nuovo Record. Here are some dropout pics:

there might very well be other Diamants out there, but the only Diamant I'm familiar with is one of the earliest German bicycle manufacturers, they started out in 1885. After the Second World War they became an East German VEB = state-owned enterprise, the „VEB

Fahrradwerke Elite Diamant“. Apparently all the East German racers used Diamants. So if the frame in question was produced before the fall of the DDR in 1989, which it definitely looks like, than it's East German.

In 1992 the VEB was privatized as the „VEB Fahrradwerke Elite Diamant“

under the auspices of the Swiss Villiger company. Later Trek bought Villiger, and Diamant along with it. More info in German: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamant_Fahrradwerke_AG http://www.chemnitzer74.de/chemnitz/diamant.htm http://www.diamant-rad.de/
