For those who have contributed or are following the progress, I can report that we are "ever so close!"
Thanks to those who have contributed but we now have almost all the pieces and parts to build up a Super Record bike...
1.) Whoever (!) was kind enough to promise the bottom bracket, please remember to go ahead & send that along, ASAP,? it's an essential piece of the puzzle!? :)
2.) We are still lacking brake levers and hoods, and a pair of basic (must be tan sidewall though!) sew up tires. Can any of you help with these?
Once the promised bits all arrive, hopefulli tin the next week or so, we will build it, photograph it, and send it to the surprised (hopefully) recipient!!!
(Those who are don't know who this honoree is, contact me off list, we are trying to keep it secret!)
