Again for those who have not followed this discussion, and may wish to, the site that has pictures of the tools is the following:

http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/hayesbikes/unidentified/

In looking closer at the two tools, the first three pictures of the tool that I have, and the second three of the tool that Mike Fabian identified as a Regina freewheel remover that he has, I have noticed several differences between the two. On mine the jaws can moved but only to the length of the slots for each jaw. On Mike's it appears as if the whole unit can be moved, and its tension is held by springs. Could it be that Mike's version is another iteration of mine, an improved one? I also notice on Mike's that with the piece that is missing from mine, there is a manufacturer's mark. Does anyone recognize the mark?

Any more thoughts on identification?

Thank you.

Cheers.
