Perhaps it comes down to the individual bike: *which* 3V vs *which* GC. I owned a '71 Milano GC (in rosso corsa) that was beautiful to look at and to ride. Several moves and a migration to modern bikes, a sale seemed to make sense (which I naturally now regret). I "replaced" it with a Starck 3V. Like others shared earlier, it's a beautiful thing to behold in the saddle, albeit admitedly less "pretty" than a GC. And I hope I don't offend anyone too much by saying Kirkbride's NASCAR-inspired Team 3Vs (at least the earlier ones) were just hideous. Anyway, I later added a '74 Calsbad GC, which is lovely but just isn't the ride, nor the aesthetic (blue metalic) of the other two. In any case, this particular 3V certainly looks nice with the early C-Record (Delta brakes were Yoko ugly if you ask me, but that discussion can stray waaay off topic).
