Subject: [CR]Wanted. Shimano BR-MC70 canti's

Wanted: To complete the conversion of my 1983 Centurion Pro Tour from 27-1/1/4" wheels to 700c.

TWO PAIR of Shimano BR-MC70 cantilever brakes.

Sigh. The Shimano BR-550 canti's bought for the Centurion build lack about 2-3mm to being low enough, they work, but just barely by about a tenth of a mm.

I swapped in from another bike ('84 Miyata 610) a pair of BR-70's. They are sized ok in the front, well in the rear. Most important with Kool Stop Eagle II Salmons though they stop fine front and rear.

The Centurion alone among it's touring peer group has the longest top tube in it's class for 25" frames (60cm top tube--versus 58cm on the Miyata 610). Hence it's my dream bike. It's important, however, that it be able to stop, too.

Your help greatly appreciated.
