I dont understand why anyone is shocked about not being able to find bearing and other out moded parts at that LBS are loose bearings currently being used in anything for sale there? From what I can tell most everything is sealed units these days Strange days where replacement derailleur hangers have replaced replacement ball bearings. The move away from distributors carrying small parts started in the 1970s. Most of our competitors carried Suntour ,Shimano etc but few carried basic small parts.
