Bruce,

I think they were a very popular lug set, back in those days. You could very well have a Medici made with them, although I think Medici is most often associated with a different lugset that was designed by Mario Confente. I believe De Rosa and others also used the lugs in the auction. These look like the later, investment cast version of the old Nervex Ref. 32 lugset with windows. See: http://www.veloworks.com/lug_reference/nervex_gallery/pages/Nervex%27Ref.32% 27Windows001.html

The earlier, stamped versions of the Nervex lugs are easily distinguished by the wider "spoon" shape on the underside of the down tube socket of the lower head lug.

The eBay seller is list member Steven Maasland.

For comparison, here is a link to a page with pictures of the Confente/Medici lugs (from a Medici catalog scan): http://www.equusbicycle.com/bike/medici/pro%20strada%20brochure%205.pdf

Folks, there is an auction on eBay now that features some lugs for sale. I looked at my Medici lugs and they look the same. Is there a high simi larity between the two or am I wrong? eBay# 110315444037 BT
