George H, my memory tells me the SunTour Winner alloy freewheels were the lightest in the mid-70's, though obviously not Italian. I did a little looking in my old literature and found them listed in a "Bike Warehouse/Nashbar" catalog from the fall of 1975, tagged as "new". So... they would fit in your 1970-75 time period but not in the "Italian" column. But they all look the same after a few hundred miles.
