"Traffic" by Tom Vanderbilt is a brilliantly synthecized essay on, among other things, --safety, including that for your classic ride. 100 pages of notes and refrences speaks to its seriousness better than some favorable but smart-aleky reviews.

In a world of the late Hans Monderman's influence, the period correctness of your builds is more likely to be noticed and appreciated, and you're more likely to see a Favorit rear der.....at less than 20mph.
