I was recently sent this picture of a Gitane track bike from someone in Fra nce who received it for Christmas. He identified it as a 1940's or 1950's v intage. I am trying to figure out the approximate date of manufacture. It i s the oldest Gitane I have ever seen, and has some pretty cool lugwork and other features.
Anyhow, I figured I would ask the experts online here for their opinions an d share this bike with the list. Pictures of the bike are posted here:
