Subject: [CR]Book Sale: Golden Age with slight damage

Three-and-a-half years after it appeared, our book "The Golden Age of Handbuilt Bicycles" is almost sold out. I am clearing out the storage space (we need the space for our new book "The Competition Bicycle"), and it's time to find homes for a couple of dozen books that either got damaged in shipping or that have minor manufacturing defects. This is your chance to get the book at a significant discount.

The insides are the same, all pages are there, so the reading pleasure will be the same, but cosmetically, these books are challenged. Depending on the damage, they come at three price levels:

Level 1: Very minor damage, like bumped corners, minor light streaks on dust jacket, etc. Most bookstore would sell these, rather than return them. 5 available. $ 40

Level 2: Most of these have a manufacturing defect, where the cloth cover is not folded correctly, and sticks out a bit on the top or bottom. Most also have minor streaks on the dust jacket. Some don't have manufacturing defects, but are abraded at one edge so that a bit of cardboard shows through dust jacket and cloth cover. About 20 available. $ 25

Level 3: Some pretty major damage to the outside, but the contents is fine. Some are missing dust jackets. About 5 available. $ 15

Shipping is $ 5 in the U.S., $ 18 to Canada, $ 28 International.

Ordering: Since quantities are limited, send me an e-mail to reserve your copy. Then mail a check. Upon receipt of the check, I mail the book.

We also still have a few pristine copies available for the cover price of $ 60.
