Subject: [CR]Counterfeit chainrings?

In the recent thread on authenticity of pantographed parts, nobody described the single or various paths by which the parts were "originally" autographed. Maybe there are older threads on licensing that describe the exchange of rights and payments.

Now that I wish to buy some Campagnolo chain rings,144BCD, and wish them to be authentic for reasons of polish and and durability of teeth and finish, I wonder whether the same CNC milling gear set up to decorate old bike parts is being used to engrave or mill ersatz or counterfeit Campy chain rings. (No disrespect to Sugino, Ofmega, or. Stronglight.)

Opinions or experience?
