Hello all,

Through the kindness and great generosity of a fellow cyclist, listmember, a nd master builder, I am now in possession of an interesting Holdsworth Tricy cle Kit.

My goal is to construct a trike for my son Zac, who is a disabled cyclist. H e needs those three wheels for balance.

I'd like to hear from anyone who has experience with using one of these kits to convert a road bike to three wheels. I'm certain there must be some tric ks to making this rig function properly!

I have in mind to utilize a lugged steel frame, possibly a Fuji, as a basis for the project. Zac, of course, would love to build it with an Italian fram e, since he will be riding this trike during his semester of study in Italy next term. Lucky kid! However, we will use what we have, which doesn't  currently include a cool Italian frame...

I plan to use 700c clincher rims, possibly cantilever front brake since the Fuji is set up for that, and the kit has drum brakes in the rear.

Any advice is welcome. This will be a challenging and fun project!
