Hello Norris (and the rest of the gang),

This bike was made by Sabliere père : a rare (unique to this extent?) case where both father and son were extremely skilled bike builders. I am not sure if they worked together at all, I know their relationship was very difficult later on in life.

Ths father built this typical Lyon style bike (inspired by the work of predecessors Reyhand and Charrel, double fork crown, hellenic stays, mudguard stay attachments), ovalised tubes as Marcadier, or Barra.

The son built stunning welded alloy bikes, as nice (better?) in their way as a Barra of the 50s. I have one on my web site :

As to the date of the bike, I would say late 40s early 50s. A lot of the features on this bike were drawn by Rebour (brake braze-ons) c. 1950.
