I recall reading that at some point Gianni Motta moved production from Ital y to the United States. Does this have anything to do with the "stars and stripes" paint schemes fo und on his early 80's bikes? Or did he sponsor/build for an American champ ion? I am curious to know the story, as I found a long sleeve Motta wool jersey (complete with stars and stripes!) at the Rose Bowl swap meet in Pasadena, CA a week ago.
