Dear Friends,

Someone knew straight away what they were after. The Merz is sold! I did n't want to make too big of a deal about this bike so that the ones who knew the most would jump first. Mission accomplished.

FYI, the Merz frames were definitely amongst the first to be built in th e states by someone who really knows touring bikes. Between Jim Merz and Bruce Gordon there are few if any others who focused as well on the tou rer as these two guys; both hand building to high standards of design an d craftsmanship. If there was any way to improve the original paint job, the Joe Bell repaint in 1986 would be one way. I don't know how many of these are out there; but someone bought a really fresh low milage examp le for a price I believe is quite fair. Someone else felt the same way. Lucky day for them.
