Subject: [CR]Huret twin wire gear

Hello Folks, I have acquired a Huret twin wire rear mech and need advice on how to set it up. It is the same design as the Louison Bobet but without the drilled pulleys (shame, they're cool !) and the Louison Bobet logo on the cage. That's cool too. I guess it to be from the early 1950's. It is going on a 1955 Gillott Fleur de Lys which has 3 twin cable stops. 1 on downtube and 2 on Chainstay.
Does anyone have a copy of the original instructions? I need to know the max,. number of teeth it can handle on the freewheel. I have a 14 -23 on at the moment and it looks very tight at bottom gear. Does the old rule apply.. Fit the chain on the big rings and add 2 links? I am off to bed with the Rebour book and the Dancing Chain to see if I can fathom the amount of tension used .
BTW if anyone has the cool bits mentioned above (cage and drilled pulleys) for sale as spares do let me know.
Hope someone can help. Mark Stevens Evanton Scotland
