''RESTORED FRAME AND FORKS
This auction is for a Vintage Claud Butler Road Frame, that has recently been restored by
Bob Jackson Cycles of Leeds
The frame is 55cm and would make an ideal fixed road bike project due to the horizontal dropouts (no hanger).
The frame and forks have been stove enamelled in Bright Yellow with new decals and white lug lining. (over an anti chip primer)
The enamel is coated in two coats of lacquer to protect the paint and decals
The frame and forks are made from Reynolds 531 tubing.
I am not sure the exact age but I think it's between 1959-1965 the frame number is 10145cb.
The rear dropout spacing is 120mm, and the frame and forks have been drilled for brakes.
There are no cable guides on the frame to the rear for brakes and gear cables as not needed on a fixed bike; this gives the bike a nice clean frame
The seat post diameter is 27mm
There are two minor blemishes on the top tube where the cable guides were removed, but these are covered in thick yellow enamel and do not effect the overall appearance of the frame. ''
Looks great to me
