It is all aluminum. DUALL designated Dual (downtubes) Aluminum. I have two other ALAN-made frames, and the tubing material and finish is essentially the same as those, but the design is different. Carbon ALAN frames, at least the early ones, had had black maintubes which I believe were carbon laminations over aluminum tubes, but the lugs and stays were aluminum. This can be a little deceptive, however, as the ALAN Super Record was available in several anodized colors, including black, which is easy to mistake for the carbon model from 20 ft away.

Do you know if the tubes are aluminium, titanium or carbon? I suspect the latter looking at the tubing and lug joins. If so, it is one of the early Colnago uses of Carbon tubing and was marketed as a "Carbitubo". The also made until mid 90's a Bi-Titanio in the same format in Titanium but the lugwork is not present. Given these were around 1990, if you wanted to contact me off list I can give you some examples of ones I have and have restored.
