It seems like the Campagnolo logo would be up-side down if the items described as a downtube cable stop were used for what Kevin describes. I can't really imagine another legitimate purpose for it, though. It would be right as a cable-stop for an early front-only derailleur set-up, but that doesn't make much sense.

Anybody have a catalog handy that shows the thing in use? Anyone have one on a bike?

Just listed the following NOS 1950s-60s Campagnolo items on eBay that in my opinion qualify as somewhat rare (single downtube cable stop for BARCON use, single bottom bracket single cable "noodle" guide, and downtube shifter clamp wedge):

Honestly don't know how the shifter clamp wedge is used, unless intended for smaller-diameter frame tubing???
