I think the Cinelli 1r stem uses the conical plug, not the wedge- shaped plug. And those are definitely different from brand to brand. I just looked at 3 I've got (one Cinelli, one 3ttt, one ???) and they are all three different in angle, size, and even in the stem bolt diameter.
