Michael,

That would be a pre-1977 model bicycle. The Super Course was made with Sun Tour dropouts and loaded with Sun Tour componentry starting in 1977. They were available in either gold, or red in both '77 and '78.

The easiest way to pin down the year would be to look at the serial number. It should start with a W, then have another letter, and then a number. That third character (the number) should be the last digit of the year it was made. I'd suspect it will say 4, 5 or 6.
