Eric,

I rented a road bike in Como 2 or 3 years ago. Didn't even try for a classic bike, just one that fit. The shop I used, Como Bike (www.comobike.com), was great. They were out of regular renters and let me have one of their used bikes as a weekend rental. Ended up with a newer steel Colnago. Give them a call or email now as bike rentals go fast there. Good luck.
