The second retro Tour of Flanders held last sunday was an even greater
success than last year. 150 men and women started in Oudenaarde Belgium
at the magnificent Centrum Ronde van Vlaanderen all on bikes older than
20 years. Two times world champion Freddy Maertens was there to
encourage the competitors. For the first time even a couple of British
riders attended. No doubt in a few years this event will be as famous as
the L'Eroica in Italy.
