Ebay Item # 140254087696 URL: http://ebay.com/<blah> 1965 Paramount looks to be pristine and I've always loved that color <snip>

Nice bike, very pretty. Some will notice that it has steel cranks. From my experience, these are likely to be forged stronglight, with Simplex rings, and quite nice. In the early 60s, Campy cranks were a $25 option on the Paramount. :-)

My own '65 Paramount was formerly all chrome, but otherwise similar. It developed a hairline crack in the top tube, so Schwinn replaced that tube and gave me my choice of colors for repaint. This was just before the first bankruptcy, but don't think that's what pushed them over the brink (They treated this as a warranty issue, and did it for free). So, mine has an unusual pattern of chrome reveals, and might not be worth quite as much to most collectors as this time capsule... B ut, darn it, it is still one of my favorite bikes to ride!
