Sorry about that. I was taking a hurried look at the CR digest this morning before leaving for church, and misunderstood your (perfectly clear) email. My apologies.

I have been lucky with my Allen brand socket sets--they are thin- walled and fit down inside the crank arms every time, no matter which crank and which socket (14 or 15MM) I need. (I know they work in many circumstances, because I was able to help one of the riders with them on Marc St. Martin's Livermore ride a week ago.)

Next time I'll read the posting more carefully before spouting off. (Always a good idea, but when you have ADD like I do, it's an especially good idea... :-(
