Welcome to the list, John. I know of another Clyde of Dagenham, and your post prompted me to upload some photos of it to my flickr album here:

Interestingly, it was purchased (mail order) by a gentleman for his wife (then girlfriend) while they lived in Vancouver, BC, almost 60 years ago. They now live in Santa Rosa, California. I took a few pictures of it when he brought it along to show off at the start of a "vintage bike" ride a few years ago. I would love to see photos of yours.

I have wondered if Clyde was associated in some way with Hobbs of Barbican, as they both had roots in Dagenham.

Regarding your need for a GB front brake pivot bolt - if you don't have any luck elsewhere, I have an orphan GB Coureur front brake caliper (missing pads and holders) that I've been saving for parts. I believe that it has the bolt you need, in pretty good condition. Please send me an email privately to let me know how your search goes, and we can work something out if need be.
