Yes Kirke, you should be worried. You should also be thankful that you discovered the crack befor it broke. In my case I was powering over a slight rise in the road around a slight lefr hand bend when I found my self skidding along the pavement at 20 MPH. When I got up, there was a clunk clunk clunk on my left foot. The pedal and about five inches of crank were still attached to my foot. Upon examination, the crank arm had been cracked for all but about three millimeters. Other than some minor road rash the rest of the bike and my body was ok, but if I had been riding in traffic or in a group the results could have been worse. Replace the crank!!
