When you get a chance Jerry I'd like a report. Put a few miles on the Task Force. It didn't take many for the two I purchased to crap out. Both started shorting about the third ride out (is there a pattern here?), and I'd have to reach over in the dark, cold night and whack'em, but the next bump I'd be in the dark. Fool me twice. Had to rely on the Flare5 as a back-up. Not good. Tried 2 remedies. Stretched the spring in the base a tiny bit and wrapped the C cells in handlebar tape to keep the insides from jostling around. Didn't work.
Point: they were mounted on a Velo-Orange Randonneur rack(the eyelet mounted one) using Chris' flashlight holders (leather lined). Maybe the proximity to the forks was too much for them. Point #2: Arizona roads are rough. That's why I'm very particular about where I ride with the Gran Bois tires. Cracks, gristle, scree, potholes to damnation. Location is everything so let us know.
