As I see it, different frame materials all have their place, although aluminum still evades me. I have a titanium Habanero road frame that I love dearly due to my age (61) and the weight. I can do a century in 7 hours easily on this bike. My steel frames are far more comfortable but too heavy to take me that far that quick. I am not a purist...just a realist.
