Subject: [CR] Fwd: Missing/stolen Peugeot PX10

Hi, I was wondering if you may have a direct contact for Peugeot bicycles in France please, or if anyone can help trace my stolen bike.

I would appreciate it if someone could post to the Classic Rendezvous list. (thanks Dale, in advance, hope you are well).

I had a wonderful restored PX10 on show through The Australian (Gold Coast) importer of Peugeot/Bianchi. The importer went 'bust' and my bike disappeared. I have reason to believe the importer may have sold it to pay some of his debts.

I was told that Peugeot representatives saw the bike and were very interested in it. It is a long shot, but it is possible it found it's way back to France. I took 4.5 years to restore it. It had nearly all new parts, even a brand new Simplex seat post. I took years to source all the correct parts. It was the white, Nervex, Tom Simpson/Eddy Merckx type.

Any help would be appreciated. The bike went missing several years ago, but it has taken this long to piece together the possibilities. At first the importer led me down many false trails. I trusted him, but unfortunately it now appears that he had a hand in it's disappearance. His name was Garry, if that helps!

Even if you could forward this Email to anyone who might help, it would be much appreciated. I am very disappointed after all the painstaking work and trust that has been lost on that project.

Best regards, Clive Rodell, Sydney Australia.
