What can y'all tell me about Stronglight "LV" rings? Example:

Was that intended purely as a townbike/porteur ring? Do you know if it calls for an 1/8" chain? Something else? (Is there something else?) I can tell you that a Sedisport road width chain does not want to drop onto those teeth. I am single-speed ignorant.
Secondly, and assuming that the above is made happy by an 1/8" chain, can I run a 3/32" cog with a set-up that is 1/8" everywhere else, or do I need to augment my comprehensive selection of 3/32" cogs? The bicycle in question is a path racer which will actually be ridden.
