Guy,

I knew George and Suzy. My former partner at Wizard Cycles, Mike Howard was really good friends with them. Mike mentioned to me in a recent conv ersation that both George and Suzy have passed away. I didn't know them well enough to know much of their personal life or offspring. Sorry to h ave to pass on the bad news.

Iʼm trying to connect with the roots of my bicycle interest and I wonder if the list may be able to help.

About 1975 I worked at a small Huntington Beach, CA bike shop named Stokeʼs Spokes. The owner of the store was George S tok es. I heard that after closing the store George became a team mechanic for a B ell helmet racing team. Has anyone heard of him or the shop?

Also, George and his wife Suzy had a son named Todd who I heard became a

talented junior racer. Iʼve looked up the name and found a Todd Sto kes who seems to be a bicycle racing writer in Ireland. Does anyone know if ther e is a connection?

Thank you,
