I have never seen this model but it was offered in the 1940 Raleigh cata
log and is described as being the same spec as the RRA (Molybdenum frame
, High Maganese seatstays, chainstays, and fork blades), but equipped wi
th taped Pelissier bars (RRA had Baileys and grips), Brooks B17 CH (RRA
had long Brooks B19 CH), and Sturmey AM gear (RRA standard with fixed fr
ee setup). In addition, the Continental was finished in a flashy lustre
blue as compared to the conservative black enamel of the RRA. I expect t
hat it would be considerably lighter then your Lenton as the RRA would c
ome in under 20 lbs stripped for racing. I would love to find one!
